Beverly & Kaidree(Bret's 2nd cousin and my good friend) before the race!

This is my 4th year in a row to run the Boise Christmas run. We ran the 10k (6miles) up into the Boise Foothills and then back down to the finish. My goal was under 1 hour, however the hill 3 miles up was treacherous and quite icy. I had my yak tracks on my shoes on the way down, however my time was 1:00:03..darn it! I couldn't see the time until I was around the corner. I shouldn't have take the time to take my yak's off...cost me 3 seconds or more! Oh well, the temperature wasn't nearly as bad as initially forecasted for O degrees, then up to 5 degrees, then this morning I believe it was around 20 degrees or so when the race began. It was a fun year and I kept warm for the most part.
